We are often asked - what is a "cl"?
Certificated Locations - or CLs - are small sites offering up to 5 pitches exclusively to Caravan Club members for touring caravans, motorvans and trailer tents.
They are privately-owned sites
holding a certificate from
The Caravan Club permitting solely Caravan Club members to stay
for not more than 28 days.
The maximum number of caravans at any one time is restricted to five by law, so you can be sure you won't be part of a crowd.
All CLs are carefully and regularly vetted by The Caravan Club and
offer as a minimum - fresh water supply, chemical closet emptying
point and dry rubbish disposal.
Over 2600 CLs across the UK are listed on the pink pages in your
Sites Directory and shown as red dots on the Sites Location Map.
Each one has an entry with a brief description of the site and its
location and a guide to the fees charged. The list is updated
annually and any revisions appear in the Sites Directory Supplement
in alternate years to the biennial Directory.
